B2B2C video production: two audiences, and one distributes for you

Your channel needs material it can actually use, and you need it used properly. Play splits the content by distributor, with permissions and controlled versions.

LITE plan free forever. Distributors and partners join without taking a licence.

Who this page is for

This page is for brands that sell through a channel: distributors, retailers, dealerships, franchises or partners who reach the end consumer. Two things have to be produced at once — material to convince the channel and material for the channel to sell with — and the brand has to survive the journey without being deformed. Play has two pieces that work separately or together: Play Platform, where content is organised by distributor with permissions and versions; and PLAY /Services, the team that produces it. You can start free with the platform alone.

What holds back a brand that sells through a channel

It is not a shortage of material. It is that the material leaves your hands the moment you deliver it and comes back deformed.

Every distributor edits the video their own way

They trim it, add their logo, change the music and drop in an offer you never approved. The brand ends up looking like ten different brands depending on which point of sale the customer sees it in.

Controlled versions per distributor, with what can and cannot be changed decided in advance.

Distributing the material is a job in itself

Every launch is dozens of emails with different links, one per partner, and a spreadsheet to track who got what. When somebody asks for the good version, nobody is sure which one it is.

Per-distributor links from a single library, with permissions and no surprise expiries.

The channel does not use what you send

If the material does not fit their size, their language or their format, the distributor makes their own. And what they make does not follow the brand guidelines, because they do not have them to hand.

Channel kits with the variants each partner needs, planned from the brief.

Nobody knows what serving each partner costs

The cost of producing a large distributor's kit and a small one's blends into the same line item, so there is no way to decide who is worth more support.

Real cost per project and per partner, in the same system where the material is approved.

How B2B2C video production works at Play

Play is a Production-Tech company: software and a production team in the same house. Here what shows most is that distributing to the channel stops being manual work.

Way 1

Platform only

You produce with your team or your agency, and use Play to organise the material by distributor, with permissions and versions under control.

  • Briefs, tasks and a production calendar
  • Media library with AI tagging
  • Videofeedback and approvals by version
  • Unlimited external collaborators

Free on the LITE plan

See Play Platform
Way 2

Production only, as and when you need it

You commission the campaign and the channel kits, with each partner's variants planned into the budget.

  • End-to-end production with an Account Manager
  • Creative, shooting and post-production
  • Local talent in whichever market it takes
  • A fixed quote per project

Per project, on a transparent rate card

See PLAY /Services
Way 3

Everything together, one partner

The platform is the shared system for brand and channel, and our team produces inside it for the whole network.

  • Everything in way 1 and way 2
  • Platform included at no cost with the services
  • Cost and status traceable in the same place
  • A flat production discount on the Enterprise plan

Platform included, production per project

Talk to the team

The three ways are doors into the same place, and you can move between them without migrating anything. Most teams start at way 1 or way 2 and end up at way 3 once the content volume grows.

What a B2B2C brand produces with Play

Two audiences, two kinds of material, and one set of brand guidelines that has to survive both.

Common formats in B2B2C models and who each one is for.
FormatWho it is aimed atHow PLAY /Services makes it
Brand commercialThe end consumer, with the brand speaking in its own voice.End-to-end production, with versions per market from the same shoot.
Channel kitDistributors, so they sell with material that already follows the guidelines.Base pieces plus variants by format, duration and language in post-production.
Product videoThe point of sale, the channel's ecommerce and the product listing.Shooting with local talent, and assets reusable across the network.
Distributor trainingThe partner's sales team, so they know what they are selling.Filmed in reusable modules, updatable per product.
Partner case studyOther distributors, as proof that the model works.Interviews shot in the partner's own city with a local crew.
Activations and eventsThe end consumer at the point of sale, and channel trade shows.A local crew, upload to the workspace and cutdowns piece by piece.

What you get from each part

This is what a brand that depends on its channel actually uses.

A library split by distributor

Each partner sees their own, with their own links from a single library. No more email with a different link per client.

Role-based permissions

Who sees what and who can download what. One region's material does not appear in another's folder.

Ordered versions

The good version is identified as such, with its history. When somebody asks which is the latest, the answer is in the project itself.

Unlimited external collaborators

Distributors, partners and agencies join without taking a licence, on every plan including the free one.

Cost per project and per partner

Budget, spend and purchase orders inside the project, to know which channel is absorbing the most production.

A calendar shared with the channel

What publishes and when, visible to the partners who have to coordinate with that date.

Kits built for the channel

Base pieces with the variants each distributor will need, planned from the brief rather than improvised afterwards.

Variants through hybrid AI production

Formats, durations, languages and local end cards from the same edit, without reshooting for every partner.

Production across markets

Local talent in more than 20 countries, to shoot where the network is, with permits and logistics sorted.

A single Account Manager

One point of contact keeping the brand coherent across everything delivered to the channel.

Brief to publication in four steps

The flow is the same whether you produce or we do. The only thing that changes is who carries out step 3.

  1. You say what you need

You open the project and describe the need. KAMI AI helps turn it into a structured brief, with formats, markets and dates, so that everyone is working from the same thing.

  2. You settle scope, cost and who does it

This is where you pick a way: your team produces it, your agency does, or PLAY /Services does with local talent. If you commission it from us, you get a fixed quote on a transparent rate card before anything starts.

  3. It gets produced and approved inside the platform

Shoot, edit and versions in the same project. Approvals happen through videofeedback and public links, with no email chains. If PLAY produces, your Account Manager oversees every stage.

  4. It is delivered, and it stays

The finished piece and the raw footage stay in your library, tagged and ready to reuse on the next campaign.

What it costs

If you produce with us, the platform costs you nothing

Access to Play Platform is included at no cost with every PLAY video production service. In other words: you can come in through the platform door and pay only for the software, or come in through the production door and take the software with it.

Annual billing works out at 10 months. Extra storage at 29 €/TB per month. In a channel model what decides the plan is not the internal users but the volume of material to distribute: PRO's terabyte and cost control per partner are what turn distribution into a process rather than a chain of emails. See the full plan comparison.

Frequently asked questions about B2B2C video production

Can I give my distributors access without paying for each one?

Yes. External collaborators are unlimited on LITE, PRO and Enterprise, so the whole partner network can come in without the invoice changing. Only your team's internal users are counted.

How do I stop the channel deforming the brand?

By delivering kits with the variants each partner needs already solved, so they do not have to make their own. And by controlling from the platform who sees and downloads what, with the good version identified as such.

Can each distributor see only their own material?

Yes, through role-based permissions and their own links from a single library. One partner's or one region's material does not appear in another's folder.

How do I produce versions per partner or per market?

In post-production, with hybrid AI production: formats, durations, languages and local end cards from the same edit, instead of shooting one piece per distributor.

Can I tell what serving each channel costs?

From the PRO plan, yes. Budget and spend are charged inside the project, so the cost of producing each partner's kit is comparable with the others.

Can I use the platform without hiring production?

Yes. The LITE plan is free and works with your in-house team and your usual agency. Production is optional and quoted per project.

What does it cost?

The platform: LITE free, PRO 149 € per workspace per month with 5 users included, custom Enterprise. Production is quoted per project on a transparent rate card based on real costs.

How do I start?

Open a free LITE workspace, put the last campaign's material in it and invite two or three distributors as collaborators. The first distribution without an email chain already shows.
