B2C video production: the problem is not shooting, it is holding the pace

Each piece turns into ten: formats, durations, test versions and per-channel cuts. Play organises that multiplication and tells you what it costs.

LITE plan free forever, with 250 GB and unlimited external collaborators.

Who this page is for

This page is for marketing teams selling directly to consumers who need constant content across several channels at once. The challenge here is not the one-off campaign piece: it is holding the volume without the cost running away or the brand losing coherence. Play has two pieces that work separately or together: Play Platform, where the material gets classified and reused; and PLAY /Services, the team that produces and scales variants. You can start free with the platform alone.

What holds a B2C marketing team back

It is not the creative work. It is that one approved piece becomes ten deliverables and nobody planned the other nine.

One piece is ten deliverables

Vertical, horizontal, fifteen seconds, six seconds, with subtitles, without music, per language and per market. The budget was approved for one video and the real work is a production line.

Hybrid AI production to scale variants from one edit, planned from the brief.

The calendar does not wait for the approval process

The piece has a publication date because media has been bought. When the approval drags, either something goes out not fully reviewed or the day's spend is lost.

Approvals on the piece itself, by version, with no parallel email rounds.

What already exists gets filmed again

The rushes from the campaign eight months ago are split between the production company, a drive and several expired links. Shooting again is quicker than searching.

One library with automatic AI tagging, searchable months later.

Cost per piece is a mystery until the close

With several production companies and several freelancers invoicing separately, the average cost of a video only appears at the end of the quarter, when nothing can be corrected.

Real cost per piece and per campaign, inside the same project where it is approved.

How B2C video production works at Play

Play is a Production-Tech company: software and a production team in the same house. Here what weighs most is having the multiplication of versions planned from the start.

Way 1

Platform only

You produce with your team, your agency or your creators, and use Play so the volume does not turn into chaos.

  • Briefs, tasks and a production calendar
  • Media library with AI tagging
  • Videofeedback and approvals by version
  • Unlimited external collaborators

Free on the LITE plan

Way 2

Production only, as and when you need it

You commission the month's pieces or the whole campaign, on a fixed quote with the variants planned from the brief.

  • End-to-end production with an Account Manager
  • Creative, shooting and post-production
  • Local talent in whichever market it takes
  • A fixed quote per project

Per project, on a transparent rate card

See PLAY /Services
Way 3

Everything together, one partner

The platform is your content system and our team produces inside it, at the pace of the commercial calendar.

  • Everything in way 1 and way 2
  • Platform included at no cost with the services
  • Cost and status traceable in the same place
  • A flat production discount on the Enterprise plan

Platform included, production per project

Talk to the team

The three ways are doors into the same place, and you can move between them without migrating anything. Most teams start at way 1 or way 2 and end up at way 3 once the content volume grows.

What you get from each part

This is what a B2C marketing team actually uses.

Calendar and delivery queues

What is being shot, what is in edit and what publishes this week, in a view shared with the agency and the freelancers.

A reusable library

Rushes and masters tagged with AI. Before shooting again you can check in seconds whether the take already exists.

Fast versions and approvals

Comments on the piece, by version, so the approval stops being what breaks the publication date.

Cost per piece and per campaign

Budget, spend and purchase orders inside the project, so the month's average cost is known without waiting for the close.

Unlimited external collaborators

The agency, creators and freelancers join without taking a licence, on every plan including the free one.

KAMI AI

It turns the month's plan into structured briefs with formats, markets and dates, with the variants already listed.

Variants through hybrid AI production

Durations, formats, languages and per-channel cuts from the same edit, instead of commissioning ten pieces.

Production with local talent

Crews in more than 20 countries, to shoot wherever the market requires, with permits and logistics sorted.

Full post-production

Edit, colour, sound, motion and visual effects, with a unified finish even when the sources are diverse.

A single Account Manager

One point of contact holding the calendar's pace and keeping the pieces coherent with each other.

Brief to publication in four steps

The flow is the same whether you produce or we do. The only thing that changes is who carries out step 3.

  1. You say what you need

You open the project and describe the need. KAMI AI helps turn it into a structured brief, with formats, markets and dates, so that everyone is working from the same thing.

  2. You settle scope, cost and who does it

This is where you pick a way: your team produces it, your agency does, or PLAY /Services does with local talent. If you commission it from us, you get a fixed quote on a transparent rate card before anything starts.

  3. It gets produced and approved inside the platform

Shoot, edit and versions in the same project. Approvals happen through videofeedback and public links, with no email chains. If PLAY produces, your Account Manager oversees every stage.

  4. It is delivered, and it stays

The finished piece and the raw footage stay in your library, tagged and ready to reuse on the next campaign.

What it costs

If you produce with us, the platform costs you nothing

Access to Play Platform is included at no cost with every PLAY video production service. In other words: you can come in through the platform door and pay only for the software, or come in through the production door and take the software with it.

Annual billing works out at 10 months. Extra storage at 29 €/TB per month. In B2C the jump to PRO comes from volume: 1 TB of media holds the rate of rushes a monthly calendar generates, and cost control is what stops you discovering the average cost per piece at the quarter's close. Frequently asked questions about B2C video production

How do I get all the versions of one piece?

They are planned from the brief and executed in post-production with hybrid AI production: durations, vertical and horizontal formats, languages and per-channel cuts from the same edit, instead of commissioning ten separate pieces.

How do I avoid filming what I already have?

With the media library: rushes and masters AI-tagged and searchable. Before commissioning a shoot you can check in seconds whether the take already exists, which is where a good part of the budget goes without anyone seeing it.

Does Play work for creators and UGC?

Yes. Creators join as external collaborators without taking a licence, upload material into the project, and post-production unifies the finish so the pieces do not look like they came from ten different places.

How do I control the average cost per piece?

Through Cost Control and Analytics, from the PRO plan. Budget and spend are charged inside the project, so the month's average cost is available during the month rather than at its close.

Can I hold the calendar if the approval jams?

Videofeedback on the piece itself reduces exactly that: every review arrives in the same thread, anchored to a second and a version, rather than in parallel email rounds somebody has to gather by hand.

Can I use the platform without hiring production?

Yes. The LITE plan is free and works with your in-house team, your agency and your usual creators. Production is optional and quoted per project.

What does it cost?

The platform: LITE free, PRO 149 € per workspace per month with 5 users included, custom Enterprise. Production is quoted per project on a transparent rate card based on real costs.

How do I start?

Open a free LITE workspace, upload the last campaign's footage and build next month's calendar with its variants planned. The saving shows on the first piece you do not have to shoot again.
