Is Play an alternative to Wipster?
+
Yes. Play covers the video review and approval that most teams use Wipster for, with a media library, public links and videofeedback, and adds planning, budgets, cost control and talent management. It is a broader alternative, not a clone.
What is the difference between Play and Wipster?
+
Wipster is video review software: it covers the stage from the first cut to approval. Play is a production system: it covers brief to publication, that stage included, and it also connects to real production services.
What does Play cost against Wipster?
+
Play has a free LITE plan, a PRO plan at 149 € per workspace per month with 5 users included and 19 € per extra user, and a custom Enterprise plan. Wipster charges per user: its Teams plan is published at 25 $ per user per month, with a 10 % discount on annual billing. From six or seven internal users, Play usually costs the same or less and replaces several tools.
Does Play have video review with comments like Wipster?
+
Yes. Play's Media Library includes videofeedback and public links so the client can comment without needing an account, available on the free plan too.
Does Play integrate with my video editor?
+
Not yet. Integrations, the API and MCP support are in development. If your workflow depends on uploading cuts from the edit itself, Wipster has the advantage on that point today.
Can I invite clients and freelancers without paying per user?
+
Yes. External collaborators are unlimited on LITE, PRO and Enterprise. Only internal users are counted: 3 on LITE, 5 on PRO and custom on Enterprise.
Does Play publish the approved piece to my channels?
+
No. Wipster allows publishing from the tool itself and Play does not. In Play the approved piece stays in the library, tagged and ready to download or share by link.
How do I migrate from Wipster to Play?
+
Open a free LITE workspace, upload the material from projects in flight, invite the team and the external collaborators, and switch on the production modules. The usual route is to start with a new project and close Wipster once the open ones finish.
